Resident cat moved primary hang out spot due to new kitten

Hi all,

Ever since I got my new kitten, my resident cat has been hanging out in my roommates room more (and the living room) instead of my room. She usually hangs in my room most of the time, but ever since the kitten came , it changed. Any tips on how to remedy this? We love the resident cat the same and play with her but she seems standoffish.
