My cat has bad allergies (not me). Will rehoming her possibly fix that for her?

My cat has had allergies for about a year. She has a bald stomach and gets hot spots .. the whole deal.

I've prob spent 1-2k this year on the issue and have not gotten anywhere. Today I was at the veterinary dermatologist who now told me I have to discontinue the use of steroids with her because she's beginning to become diabetic. I also tried atopica which gave her lethargy (again the vet told me to discontinue). The last thing is the immunotherapy (havent started that) which seems like it can take a year or several years to work? In the meantime my cat will continue to have the hot spots since I can no longer give her steroids.

It's really an exhausting problem to have. Has anyone rehomed their pet because of this? I would do it for sure if I knew she would experience relief but theres no guarantee she wouldn't be allergic with someone else as well. Not to mention its probably hard to get someone to adopt a cat with missing patches of fur. Any advice?
