My dog died suddenly after coming home from the vets. He was panting heavily and his tongue was slightly blue, the vet said nothing and within 20 minutes of him being home he died on his bed. He was having x rays of his legs and chest because we have been to the vets 5 times in 21 days over his panting constantly and 2 bouts of collapse. Each time we were told it was due to pain but I asked for an x ray of his chest and they agreed. They first said he had fluid in his lung, they said they took a needle sample twice and that everything went ok. His mms and crt were fine on discharge
we had to wait a further 50 minutes for the vet to tell us all this in which Ben was panting heavily. So my question is, what is it that deems a dog safe for discharge?
