Hi everyone! Seeking all the help and advice here.
Got a male, neutered, approximately 1-year old cat from the shelter almost 3 weeks ago. I am at work all day but I play with him for 20-45 minutes before leaving for work and before bed time. Every morning and night after he eats breakfast or dinner and uses the litter box, he will start pacing around my apartment just HOWLING for like 10 minutes. It sounds like he is upset or distressed. I don’t know why he’s meowing because I’ve given him food and he’s used the litter. He eats a mixture of dry and wet food (I’m trying to get him on just dry food but he’s so picky and doesn’t like the two kinds of dry food I have bought).
I have been ignoring his meowing and not giving in at all, but I feel like it’s making no difference. I know cats can take two weeks to adjust to a new place... but it’s been almost 3 weeks so I’m losing faith.
SOS please help! Anyone have any experience with this? Or also dry food suggestions? So far I’ve tried Rachael Ray Nutrish and Purina Grain Free Chicken + Egg. Miss on both.
