My cat is 8/9 years old, and shes been coughing for as long as I can remember. Sometimes hear noisy, crackly like wheezing after intense coughing episodes. She rarely pukes or coughs anything up but will always swallow a few times after said episodes. My mom has always just brushed it off as no big deal (not blaming in any way, we’ve always felt bad but I just followed my moms nonchalantness about it), but I’m starting to feel a responsibility of needing to take her in to get it checked out and treated. I’m wondering how much I’m going to be looking at in costs? I’m assuming bloodwork will be needed, I don’t know the type of severity of her problems but any estimates at treatment costs from someone who has dealt with similar things in their feline?
