My town allows 3 dogs. I have 2 and am going to move into a place with my boyfriend who has 2. I have my dogs licensed and so does he. Neither of us want to get rid of a dog and would not get rid of one. With the pet overpopulation why wouldthey expect you to give one up anyways. How do we go about this legally? Can I register one to someone else and still have him stay with me? The neighbors on one side are giant pains and would most likely turn us in, so hiding one is not an option. A kennel license is for breeding, I dont intend on ever breeding dogs. And the kennel license in my state is required for someone the breeds 5 of more dogs, nothing about 4 pet not breeder dogs. I love my dogs and so does he. I dont know what to do. We dont plan on getting married, just living together.
