Found A Ferret, Need Help!

So, I came home after work today and discovered there was a ferret who fell into a window well of my basement. I don't know a whole lot about ferrets but I'm pretty sure this little guy won't last too long on his own outdoors. I mean I live in a residential area so I'm assuming he's someone's lost pet.

Anyways, I got the little guy in a rather large plastic tub at the moment and the walls seem high enough that he won't be able to get out and run loose around my home. I got some water and ran up to my local pet store before they closed to grab some food for him.

Here's my dilemma. Best case scenario I can find the owner, I plan on putting out some fliers and see if there is a presence online for people who have lost pets to see if I can reunite him with his owners. I also plan on calling some sanctuaries to see if they have any lost/found programs or something. But in the meantime I need to make sure this little guy is taken care of, which means I may be looking after him for a few days, assuming I don't get too attached.

I need a ferret care crash course like right now. For the moment he's in a rather large plastic tub with a towel that I threw down. I'm not sure if this is even ok. Is there anything better I can do? What's more, I'm concerned about what happens when he needs to pee/poop. Like what do you even do for ferrets, assuming this one is actually a pet. Please anything and everything you can tell me would be appreciated!!!

Edit: Also if it helps, I live in southeastern Michigan, close to the metro Detroit area. If by some crazy chance you have lost a ferret and reside in that area let me know!
