Backstory: Our dog hasn't been doing well for over a month. He has been puking up his food everyday, is pooping blood, staggers when walking, apathetic all the time (no barking or interaction with our other dogs), has not wanted to go for a walk in over 2 weeks, constant utis, list goes on..
We've seen a vet and she only prescribed us antibiotics and nothing else.
We've decided it's time to put our dog down, but want to do it at home where he is surrounded by family and home.
From all the articles I'm reading online, ketamine is not used alone. I'm scared it won't euthanize him.
We only have Ketamine - we use it as a tranquilizer for our deer. 1CC of it to be exact. My pomeranian is 6lbs and is very weak.
I'm scared for him and the rest of my family knows next to nothing if it will actually work.
Please advise. Any opinion is welcome.
