So i have a three-year-old Cat and I moved in over a year ago with someone who has an eight year old cat and she wouldn’t let me properly introduce them so they don’t always get along and the other cat is very vocal so even if they’re playing nicely you constantly hear hissing and the other cat is just not very friendly towards my cat all the time. He’s temperamental - will come at my cat and then be over it but my cat wants to still play.
My cat is also a pain in the ass, very destructive at times and it’s gotten to the point where I feel like I cannot leave my apartment overnight because all I get are Snapchat’s and texts about how horrible my cat is. He has so much energy and needs constant attention all night and I don’t know what to do anymore.
I have car diffusers, so many toys, two 62” cat trees, scratching posts... I’ve tried CBD, catnip so he could get burnout, pheromone collars. Nothing works and I don’t know what to do anymore as it’s causing issues with my roommate and I just never sleep. I have a spray bottle when he does something wrong but he’ll still do it. He tries to run out of the apartment, he’ll randomly bite my roommates feet when she walks by, granted she plays with him with her hands and I’ve said many times not to as well as other things to instigate him.
I’m at my breaking point and I don’t know what to do anymore - just seeking any advice on how to calm him down. He also has this habit of picking up other cats worse traits so now he also runs around meowing and will try to scratch at the couch - two things he’s never done before living with this other cat.
