Our dog is a year old shih tzu and he has licked his back so much that his fur has become matted. In the grooming center, they recommend shaving his fur to remove his matted fur.
When we got him back, he was almost bald and his body felt warm. Reading online, it says that dogs shouldn't be shaved or they would suffer from heat stroke. We currently clothed him with his sweater.
Can anyone tell us what to do? We are worried too much about him. We called the grooming center and they said he'd be fine but I'm too worried about his health right now.
