We've always had an ant problem here and every time we gives the cats tuna or any other kind of wet cat food, it always attracts ants. Even if we wash the bowls and replace the mat they still come back since they've already made a trail for their colony to follow back to that spot. I figured I'd ask here for advice on how to keep the ants away first since I don't want to spray insecticide where they eat, nor do I want to place ant-repelling herbs that may be toxic to my cats if they ingest it or even repel them from their own food bowls
