Please don’t shame me.
I have been wanting a companion animal for some time, so after researching for a few weeks, I decided on a chinchilla.
I’ve read about them, and I knew all the cons of them. And I didn’t think it would matter to me until now.
She’s not cuddly, I wanted something that I can show and receive affection with. Chinchillas do not want to be held more than 5 seconds.
She also cannot be free roamed. I did know about this, but I didn’t imagine that I would have to cramp myself in a tiny playpen to be able to interact with her, or else she’d escape.
What I’m trying to say is that I feel really bad. I brought an animal that wasn’t the right match for me. What do you think is the best course of action for me?
