Hey everyone, I'm a teenage dog owner(Labrador, 6 y.o.), my parents got her for us when we were really young, and i just recently came to the conclusion that i'm not exactly the best owner. Growing up I've been struggling(still am) with mental health issues, so walking her always felt terrifying. I did it as much as i could but i really don't think it's enough. She has a yard with trees and grass and spends most of the day there. There's a small dog house where she sleeps. We let her in during winters. She's not well trained (only knows sit and handing a paw commands and only when she feels like it). She can also be defensive around other animals/new people but she's never scared of us. I don't feed her(my mom does that) and she's usually not fed actual dog food since it's too expensive(she usually eats leftovers but i think she likes them). Any time i open up an article about dogs i just feel so incompetent and i could really use some advice. What should i do?
