I can't take my cat to the vet right now for advice, otherwise I would. She was 14 lbs, but after I switched her to Natural Variety's Instinct Original wet food (193 calories/day), she went down to 13.4 lbs. The problem is she hasn't lost any weight for a month now past that point, even though I even started feeding her around 180 calories a day. She also is a very playful cat, and the time I play with her is around an hour a day.
Does she need a special kind of wet food to lose weight, or does she just need even more exercise? I feel like 180 calories is already a low amount to be feeding her - would it be bad to lower it more? Thanks!
