My cat is seriously my best friend. I found her as a stray few years back and we have always been so close.
The past couple months she has been waking me up early in the morning and this morning I was so tired and I got upset with her. I didn't yell at her or scold her or anything, I would never do that. But I did not talk to her like I usually do in the morning, I rejected a good morning hug and I didn't pet her when she ate her breakfast like I usually do.
I was hoping this would get the point across that I was upset without scolding her or punishing her in any way.
Fast forward 14 hours later and he's been under the bed all day. Every time I try to pet her she'll move to the other side of the bed and show me her back. I tried to give her attention for over an hour. I also gave her a few treats, but he at them and went back to the other side of the bed.
I don't know what to do and I feel awful. I feel like I hurt her feelings and I can't make it up to her. I am so lost and I'm scared I broke her trust forever.
Is there anything I can do?
