Neighbors said they called the cops on my barking dog?

He’s a 9month old standard poodle so he has a deep bark. It’s loud and annoying so I get where my neighbors are coming from. I’m just scared of the police lmao

At 10:30 my puppy woke up in the middle of the night and he ran to the back door and was super energized for some reason? Thought he had to pee so I opened the door. He ran down and started barking. I stood out there with him until literally 10:33pm when my neighbor started screaming at me. Completely understandable, but I was waiting for him to pee and quieted him down. I realized he probably just thought he saw my other neighbor downstairs (we share a backyard) and got excited. I brought him back up right after I got yelled at. My dog started walking around sniffing so i thought he definitely had to use the bathroom. I ran back down and he started barking a little bit again. Neighbor yelled at me and told him he had to pee in my house. Then said he’s calling the cops right now. Does anyone know the laws for dogs barking? This interaction happened within 10 minutes and he barked only when going down the stairs. I get it and I would be annoyed too, but I don’t want to have to deal with police about this or anything.

Edit: this is also the first time my dog has physically been awake past 9pm so he’s never caused a nuisance outside before
