So this family have had a dog since a pup, and they’ve had young children since.
The children don’t like the dog - he’s been a “bad boy” since the kids came along, stealing the kids food, other dog instincts..etc The kids don’t treat him nicely, randomly hitting, kicking etc They’re kind of conditioned to think he’s bad : (
The family are too busy to take the dog for walks, give it love etc so they were going to give him away. I’m very close to this family and have offered to adopt the dog as I love him to bits. We will keep it within the family as the children may grow to love it. I’ve owned dogs before and understand dog care, vet bills etc.
Do you have any suggestions on how I can adopt the dog without running into complications later, if they do want the dog back?
