Stray puppy found with some big issues--where should I start?

This morning, my man stopped home real quick during work to bring a puppy he found home. He went back to work quickly and asked that I take care of the pup, knowing the dog was injured and smelt badly, but couldn't stay to observe the puppy. This poor baby, we assume is only about 2 months, has a broken back paw/leg (which still bothers her slightly, but does not stop her from getting around), and she has a dislocated front leg. Also, her teeth are brown/grayish & decaying, and every time she opens her mouth it smells pretty bad. I've cut her matted knots that were deep and closely attached to her skin, she's been fed, given water, cleaned, and has been comfortably laying down. But, I need to do more. We are taking her to the vet tomorrow...but I want to know, should we get pet insurance? Are there other organizations that can help us if the cost ends up being too much? We both feel a deep need to care for and support this pup, especially as it seems her life has been hard from the get-go. I've never felt so sad like this when seeing a puppy before... I appreciate any appropriate advice! Thank you in advance!
