Took in pregnant stray, so much confusion.

Sorry if this is a bit of a longer post. I'm just hoping someone may have slightly more experience. I've been feeding a stray cat (also inadvertently a fat racoon) who just recently let me pet her. After petting her I noticed she wasn't fat, but actually pregnant. Wanting to verify she isn't already a mom, I ran her to a nearby vet who had a tech palpate her, and confirm that she is in fact not microchipped, and they can feel (at least) one kitten in there. I immediately decided that outside isn't really the best place to have a litter of kitties, so I closed off my guest room, got a large cardboard box and lined it with blankets and covered it, and now I'm sort of at an impasse on next steps.

  1. I have 2 male cats, one is 3 years old and the other is 1, both neutered and sealed off. They definitely smell her and she smells them, and goes into hissing at the door. However, she is extremely good natured and affectionate, wanting non stop pets. I've also lost a cat to wet FIP previously so I'm trying my absolute best to minimize any sort of cross contamination, and the two males are up to date on FELV/Rabies/all others. I applied flea/tick treatment to her today but I haven't seen anything. Is there anything else I should be trying to cover my bases on? I want to make sure my two cats are safe from as much as possible.
  2. I'm somewhat concerned about her purring (sounds sort of like our breathing when we get a chest cold but could be pregnant cat purring?) The vet tech said she's about a week out from babies, however we got her home and she began talking a ton, panting, and pacing around. They said she may go into labor shortly. I'm torn between wanting to get a full ultrasound/exam done which will result in ~hour long car trip both ways and of course the internet says 'minimize stress or she'll eat them'. Thanks Google. This sort of ties into question 1, because I want to make sure I'm not exposing them to something but minimizing stress on her.
  3. She hasn't gone to the bathroom at all. This is from grabbing her ~10 this morning. I got her her own litterbox, fresh litter, foodbowl, waterbowl, everything. I put her in the litterbox and she assumes thats where she stands to get more pets now. I've looked under the bed but no urine/feces. So...I don't think she's litterbox trained but I'm also not sure.
  4. Her stomach fur is matted a bit, and around her one/two nipples is sort of (not necrotic) but darker flesh. Almost like it's scabbed but it maybe just dirt. Again, I'm not sure. I did check her ears though and no bugs, no ticks around the rest of her body. I got a quick glimpse at her butt (she's super fluffy) and it looks like my other cats butt so I assume thats normal.

I'm sure there's more I'm not thinking of at the moment.
