She is about 5 years old and spayed. We've done teo rounds of UTI medicine, we've fed her UTI wet food, her litterbox is adequetly clean, however she just keeps going outside the litterbox.
The big differences to cause this mostly came at the same time. We got a dog a few years back, and a few months before that, she had birthed a litter of cats in her box. I can't remember exactly which it started after, but I'd imagine the latter makes the litterbox no longer a restroom?
Numerous vet visits and all we've been told is that she possibly has a UTI and to just do the medicine. Nothing has worked whatsoever, and it's getting to a point where having her as a pet is becoming more and more unfeasible as it wrecks the house. We've tried moving the litterbox, cover and no cover, new litter, cleaning more often, cleaning less often, giving her space of her own, pampering her, really anything.
I am at a complete loss and it is distressing as I do not want to have to give up my cat due to the continuous and expensive damage being done.
The real oddities I've noticed is that she has one peed while simply cuddling with me, only once. The other being that she prefers to pee on clothes more than peeing in a litterbox.
I will add, I have seen her use the litterbox before. Sometimes she's almost peeing right over the edge instead of in the litter.
