Is it bad that I’m heavily considering rehoming my new dog?

I got a 5 month old Doberman about 2-3 weeks ago from a private seller on petfinder. They told me he was trained in all areas but he literally is not. I’ve gotten so frustrated since I’ve had him and it’s even impacting my job. I feel terrible because he’s already claimed me and LOVES ME. I live in an apartment with two cats so I’m taking him outside every hour as well as taking him to the park 2-3 times a day- not to mention I’m also a first time dog owner. I’ve been told I’m doing very well with him, but I feel like someone with a yard and another dog would make him happier. At his last home, he was pretty much living in a crate and I could easily tell his owners just wanted to get rid of him (which I can unfortunately see why ☹️) I am going to take him to a boarding school for dogs in hopes it will help drastically. I’ve trained him in a few areas, but much more needs to be learned. If that doesn’t do much, I really am considering rehoming him. It would obviously hurt me because he’s gonna view it as another owner handing him off, but I feel like it’s unfair to him when he really could have people that can provide him with what he needs right outside their door. Is feeling like this normal? Am I just overwhelmed because it’s all new to me? Would he be better off and happier with a family or owner with a yard and other dogs?
