So my cat is 1 year old and everytime someone comes home and he doesn't recognize their voice he immediately goes running under the bed and stays there until they leave.
He was born in a house with over 20 cats living there and was being raised by a single woman, but she wasn't really able to give all of the cats attention and eventually a friend of her got around 9(one of them was even his sister) cats and took them to a vet to neuter them and put them up for adoption, she let the 9 cats in another house she had rented just for them, and that is where I came to pick him up.
Out of all the cats, I can recall him being the most "scared" one, he was hiding in the corner of the shower whereas some cats were walking around and others on top of the sink, and he even ran away to another part of the house when the woman tried to make him enter the carrier for the first time.
It took him some time but in one day he eventually got used to me and the new house, but after around 4 months, everytime someone comes to visit, he goes hiding, I was wondering if it could be because he thinks someone is going to take him away again?
