Hi everyone, I’m very desperate and in need of help.
I qualified for an ESA due to my extreme anxiety and depression so I went through the right channels and got everything sorted. I have all the paperwork from my therapist. The issue is that my landlord says there are no pets aloud even though you’re allowed to have pets in the property (just have documentation of a professional cleaner).
However, I thought ESA’s were allowed because it is disability related. I have not informed my landlord yet of my cat because I’m terrified of her reaction.
I don’t know what to do but I’m not getting rid of my cat and I would rather not be evicted as a college student with limited funds. I live in Virginia!
Any advice??? Please help.
