So I heard somewhere that cats crave running water because it's colder or something. It encourages them to drink more water, which is healthy. I made the mistake of putting the cat on the counter and showing her the sink water.
Now whenever she's thirsty, she sits next to or in the sink and waits for me or my mom to turn it on for her. She refused to drink out of her water bowl that I change regularly. But at least she seems super happy now with this accommodation.
