We adopted two kittens back in July. Both immediately used the litter box just fine. About two months later, one started occasionally popping next to the litter box. Now, she poops next to it every single time.
We have tried 1) Buying more litter boxes of various sizes (currently have 4)
2) Tryed 5 different types of litter (4 out of the 5 unscented)
3) Putting more or less litter in the box
4) Making sure the litter boxes were in comfortable places (we didn't move the first one so she wouldn't get confused, but we added the others)
Obviously we keep the litter box clean as well. I have no idea what else do to and I can't keep cleaning up this much poop from the floor every day
