i’m a cat person, but since i have mild allergies i’ve never been allowed to find one. i’ve finally convinced my mom to get me one if i save up the money. the breed i’m looking for is a russian blue (i know they’re not fully hypoallergenic but i have read that they are better for people with allergies). i also want a blue because a lot of sources say they’re friendly cats who can be good with dogs. i have two dogs (a 2 year old golden retriever and an 11 year old shiba inu). my golden is very friendly and is very calm. i try to exercise him a lot by playing with him and taking him swimming. he’s never been around cats before but has done well with smaller dogs. my shiba inu is very calm and does not have a lot of food or toy aggression. she’s been around the neighborhood cats before and has never been aggressive- she usually just gives them kisses or lay down with them. my house is big enough for both dogs and i have a spare room i plan on converting into the “cat” room if i get a cat. do i have the right environment for a cat or should i not get one?
