So most of the time my dog and cat get along perfectly well. They even sleep together and cuddle. But I notice when I’m giving one-on-one attention and petting my cat, he gets bitchy towards the dog. Running over to where he is and batting him (without claws) and even growling if the dog is walking nearby. My dog is smart and respects his space when he gets like that, so it never escalates. And it’s only the dog he acts like this to, he’s often in a wonderful mood toward me and super into the petting. But why does he suddenly hate the dog when he’s happy and getting pets, yet is best friends with him otherwise??
