Today at 5pm as I was walking home, I found a bird. I'm pretty sure it's a pigeon. It was being attacked by a cat. I took the poor thing with me and I couldn't take it to the vet today. It's been drinking water and eating just a bit, but not much. There are no signs of blood. At all. However it has a broken wing. The bird is inside a box, it can breathe and I'm trying my best to make it feel comfortable. It's not moving much, it's just there... Standing in its two legs.
Right now I'm going through a lot. Family issues and debts so it's hard for me to spend money on veterinarians or a surgery. I'm not even sure if birds go through surgeries or can survive under that stress.
What should I do? If it can't fly then should I keep it with me? I have a bunny. Are birds harmful for them?
I feel very worried about this. Please, any words are appreciated.
