Can I Take My Wild Pet Bird To The Vet

I have a pet sparrow that I rescued from outside when it was a baby fledgling; my cat found it in my garage and I have no idea how it got there, I had to save it. Now it's captive and been living with me for 2 years and is very domesticated.

The problem is my sparrow started growing this excess on her beak which looks like it needs to be filed down or clipped. I take her in my hands and try to get her to grind it down herself with a cuttle bone but it doesn't do it. I really want to take her to the vet so the vet can trim down the excess but I don't know if I'm allowed to take a wild bird in? I'm scared they'll take her hostage and say it's illegal or something.
