I'm probably overestimating how clingy our kitten is but I Feel so guilty leaving him in a cattery for five nights. I worry he will get really sad and miss us. He has dog-like tendencies and is very clingy. I've never heard a cat howl so loudly if we don't give him attention or shut a door on him!
We've never left him in a cattery. If we have been away we've had family pop over and he's been happy enough as it's his house (he is an indoor cat) but I'm worried the lack of familiarity and people will distress him a lot.
I'm guessing these are normal worries so wondered if anyone has had a similar experience and can reassure me.
