Elderly cat with dental issues. Worried sick.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. But I need somewhere where I can vent/get support from.

I adopted an elderly cat 1 1/2 years ago. Nobody knows how old she is but the vet put her as very old. She has white fur around her face and coat.

She’s my world. The glue that holds me together and with her, I feel like I can take on anything. She makes me smile first thing every morning. Nobody around me seems to understand this.

Recently, she has started to “click” her jaws and paw at her mouth after eating. Slowly losing interest in food.

So I brought her to the vet and the vet says that she has only 5 teeth left and it’s rotten.

I’ve lost my furbaby once years ago to GA. He never woke up. And he was young. (Rabbit)

I’m absolutely devastated. I’m so scared. I know that the dental is important for her well being. But she is SO old. Nobody knows her history. Even tho the blood works came back okay. I’m worried sick.

My apologies if it’s incoherent. My minds a mess now.

Thanks for listening.
