When I am home I notice my cat going into the litter box a lot. She will sit in there and then dig around, but doesn't look like she is straining hard and doesn't cry or make any noises.
I clean the litter box out and there are definitely clumps of litter so it's not like she isn't going to the bathroom. But, I mostly see poop clumps instead of big clumps of urine. I've heard her urine stream before and I don't hear anything like that.
She drinks a good amount of water and is already on a prescription diet with the S/O index designed to prevent the formation of crystals. She continues to eat and drink, and her weight is maintained. She recently had a physical exam as part of a check up and everything was normal.
I don't see any blood in the litter box and she doesn't eliminate outside of the box ever.
Any suggestions?
