I had two rabbits that were bonded. One was killed by a cat a couple of days ago and now the other one will barely eat or drink (I can hand feed him a tiny amount of Kale but he hasn't eaten anything on his own.) He will take a sip or two of water I give him afterwards.
He is not a cuddly rabbit, he only ever allowed people to pet him (never pick him up) when the other rabbit was getting petted. He still wants nothing to do with anyone. I'm not sure how to help him. I read that sometimes a rabbit needs time with the deceased to understand that they're gone and not coming back but he didn't get the chance as his mate was torn to pieces. If anyone has some better idea on how to help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
