My cat that I have had for 3 months already has finally opened up to me!
I am so surprised it did not take as long as I thought. I knew her through her previous owners and she’s always been a tiny, scared cat. She often hid under the bed and only came out to eat. When I started taking her in, she was the same. I continued to give her space and all her necessities so she was able to get comfortable with the new environment. Recently I notice she began playing with my other cats, and resting outside of the bed more. She continued becoming more and more comfortable. Just now, she let me pet her and she started purring, head butting, kneading, and showing her stomach!!
I feel so proud to gain her trust after such a short time! ahhhh
