About a month ago we got a Border Collie while in the middle of painting and remodeling our house..... because, you know..... we thought we could do it all. WE CAN’T!
I want to rehome the dog. Kid loves the dog and so does the partner, so the pup is staying. Partner is at work all day, so it’s up to me to train it. Dog is shitting and pissing everywhere, as well as chewing brand new furniture. I can’t take him out every 30 minutes on schedule as I am also painting the house, taking care of our toddler, cooking and trying not to piss myself like the damn dog.
Now, this dog is smart. For a 3 month old puppy, he is bright. He’s learned commands and I can even balance treats on him. He’s even slowly learning what’s ok and not ok to chew. He knows he’s wrong for shitting in the house because as soon as he shits or pisses somewhere, he runs to me, regardless of where I am downstairs (we blocked off upstairs area due to carpet) and begins jumping all over me and tries giving me love. I immediately know he’s crapped somewhere, and upon checking, the turds are fresh and smelling.
Please help me.
