I have three cats and one Chiweenie. The one thing that I have made sure to do despite my economic troubles is provide for my pets. I will go without eating just so I can buy their expensive, grain-free food. They have to share toys but I I make sure that they have the enough that fights don't break out. In essence, I make sure that my issues don't affect them.
Earlier this evening I went to Petsmart and bought the same flea medicine I buy every time : Frontline Plus (for Cats).
Within an hour my youngest <1 y/o) cat started acting funny. Couldn't walk straight, panting like he was stranded in the Sahara. I've never had this happen before.
He is currently (climbed up there on his own) in my bathroom sink. He is drinking water. But he won't stop shaking.
I called the emergency vet and they want $150 just for the exam fee. My credit is shot due to my own medical bills ($97k since April 1st alone). I've got a 485 credit score and pet care credit is not an option.
Is it normal for a cat to act like this after applying Frontline? I have used it for years on multiple pets and have never had this reaction. I cannot afford an emergency visit.
Any advice is appreciated
