Her name is Winnie. She’s a Boxer/Lab/Husky but she resembles a boxer more than anything, just with a longer face and one blue eye. We got her at 8 week old to help with my major depressive disorder and my BPD, and we very quickly bonded. She comes with me everywhere and my husband already refers to her as “the protector” because she keeps my mind, heart and body safe.
She’s a puppy so I know puppies get into everything and it’s not uncommon for them to get a little pukey from time to time. The last 2 mornings though she has been sick at least 3 times. She brings up everything in her stomach and then a little bit of bile, then she will sleep for another hour and when she wakes up she’s a playful happy pupper again.
I called my local emergency vet to see if I should bring her in or if it was a less urgent case and should simply be booked into our normal vet for an appointment this upcoming week. They said to just monitor her and that she may just have a bug, but I’m so worried now.
We lost our first fur baby (2 y/o cat) in December because she ingested something poisonous to her and now I’m terrified something similar is happening now. We keep everything out of reach of Winnie, we make her home made food and we take her for 2 walks a day. We’re attentive and loving pet owners and I’m just so worried
