She’s extremely friendly, extremely playful, and extremely high energy. There are only a few things giving us trouble: she will sometimes snap when we go to take her leash off, and she is terrified of going inside. I get the impression in her former home she only went inside for bedtime and it was straight to the cage. She was very nervous about being inside. We sat with her and pet her for awhile to try and calm her down, as well as gave her some toys, but when my fiancée left the room and came back she became extremely nervous. She bit at us when we tried to pet her. I have been trying to establish a zero tolerance biting policy all day; if she bites or snaps at me I yell “no” and stop petting her. It seems to be working for standard play but I think she was just really nervous about being inside. Any advice for a new pet owner?
She also is not spayed. We are scheduling an appointment for next week and have been told that will mellow her out.
