My Cat is Sick after Vacation

Hi Reddit, first time posting on here.

I took my male approx 10 yo British shorthair to the vet on Monday where he got rabies vaccine, the feline distemper vac and got him microchipped. He's mostly indoor cat, and in the last 8 years since I've had him, I haven't had him vaccinated. The problem is that on Tuesday evening he started vomiting food and bile afterwards, and doesn't seem to be drinking water, which he normally drinks quite a bit. My usually upbeat and cheerful guy appears to be too lethargic and his huge appetite has decreased significantly, although he still would eat.

Since - when he found me, he seemed to have been well taken care of by the pervious parents/owners, and was already fixed, I'm assuming this is not the first time for him to get rabies shot, but I'm kind starting to worry about him at this point. Read a bit online that this sometimes happens as a reaction to the rabies shot, but didn't read anything to put my mind at ease.

Has anyone gone though something similar with their cat? Any advice, besides "take him back to the vet", which of course I'd do if the problem persists.
