My dog suzie is 11 year old jack russel terrier, she is not neutered and every so often if she finds teddy bears she sneaks them to her bed and tries to feed them, her mammary glands swell up quite badly and she seems really depressed and cries and isn’t herself. It has happened in the past and we have taken away her teddy bears and she gets super upset but a week or so later she’ll be back to her normal self.
How do I fix the problem? It’s too late to get her neutered as she is quite an old girl (advises not to by vets). Would it be beneficial at all to introduce a new puppy to the family and have her believe it’s from her litter?
