I am wanting to adopt a Pomeranian, and I’m also interested in adopting one who is less likely to be picked up. I’ve seen many one eyed dogs, and I’m interested, but I’m also hesitant. My cat, Lucifer, met my sister’s dog, Bay, earlier this year. Lucifer kept a distance and followed Bay around the house the entire time. At times, when Bay came close, Lucifer made an agitated noise. He swiped him a couple of times. Bay was not aggressive at all, Bay was completely indifferent towards Lucifer, but barked a couple of times in response. They were only together for five days. I think Lucifer was beginning to adjust to Bailey at the end.
I intend on introducing a dog to Lucifer in a much better, more calculated way. We didn’t really know how to do it. I am concerned that if I get a one eyed dog, Lucifer will behave the same way and the dog will become frightened as it will be missing some of its eyesight. My family says that the dog will have adjusted to life with one eye by now. They won’t be alone for a very long time. I will most likely be taking the dog to work. So, just exploring the house or when I’m sleeping are the vulnerable times.
What do you think?
