Questions about bravecto and tick prevention

Hey all

I'm pretty terrible when it comes to reading negative reviews and assuming I'm going to get the same reaction. An item can be 4.99 stars out of 5 with thousands of reviews but after reading the negs I talk myself out of buying it.

Our vet gave us this for our dog - we live in an area with tons of ticks. After reading about it online, there are tons of people saying it caused seizures, muscle tremors or even death.

As far as using it goes, it actually almost seems sort of pointless. It's not preventing ticks, it's simply killing them after they anchor in and suck away for a day.

A few questions

Have you / do you use it and how did your dog react

Do you still have to go in and pull all the ticks out after they die

Did you even find the use of it effective

We have a baby and a few other indoor pets, so one reason it seems like prevention if possible would be better than killing them later is that this doesnt seem to stop them from crawling all over the dog, then falling off inside the house and getting on other people or animals
