I’m moving out soon and I would take care of the cat and let him inside and feed him and remind the owner to clean his litter box. The owner works all day and got the cat because the house has a rat problem. He doesn’t care about him either way and I’m worried for him when I leave. I wanna take him, but my cat of 16 years recently passed.
His dog also has a biting problem. He’s all playful one moment and then will snap for no reason. Growls at people and obviously faces mental challenges. He refuses to get help for the dog even though he’s bitten at least 13 of our guests. Be it he’s a small bulldog, but his bites still hurt.
I’d like the cat to be taken to a proper home who will love and care for him and the same for the dog. Though I feel the dog would be just put down unfortunately. I want to say that’s wrong, but given his history with biting people and aggressiveness and owners lack of care. I think the dog has to receive either proper care or be put down.
What can I do in my scenario? I obviously want to try to stay anonymous. I’m moving out soon so I want really the best for the cat (and the dog to get real help as he’s bitten me multiple times, so can’t say I’m fond of him).
