Forgive me if this isnt the best place to ask this, but as the title says one of my roommates dogs has been getting increasingly aggressive but only when they are home and in the bedroom.
During the day while they are at work, he's fine. I can pet him and go near him and he doesnt make a sound.
But over the course of the past month during the night if they are home and I need to leave my bedroom, he'll block the hall and bark and growl and carry on. He's now begun to lunge at me/ bare his teeth, and even if I turn off my light by my door he comes out of their room and barks until I leave the door.
Not only does it wake them up every time I need to use the restroom, I've begun to genuinely worry he's going to bite me.
He doesnt mind me during the day at all, and for a while we thought he was barking cause I wouldnt acknowledge him. But even when I give him attention and scratches hes still carrying on and now I'm not willing to put my hands anywhere near him.
If they arent home, he's all tail wags and happy to see me. Its ONLY when they are home.
Quite honestly it's getting ridiculous and I obviously dont wanna be bitten. He doesnt show aggression to either of his humans, but he does show aggression to the other dogs from time to time.
The roommates will only yell at him, which has proven to be ineffective as he only goes to bed once I'm in my room.
What options do I even have?
