I (30F) am having a lot of anxiety about leaving my three cats for a week for our honeymoon. Our three cats are very attached to us and we have a wonderful routine with them. Last time we went on vacation for five days, our male kitten had a urinary blockage and it cost us 3000 dollars to save his life. The first thing the vet asked us when we brought him in is “have you traveled away from him recently ?” Implying that the stress from us leaving him caused/ contributed to the blockage. I don’t enjoy myself when I’m away from them. I feel like I want to cancel the honeymoon. Has anyone left their cats for a week and had similar concerns ??
