So I have a 14 year old poodle. He’s always been a little neurotic, but since getting older, he’s hit full on crazy. He walks around the house staring at random stuff for hours. He beats up on our other dog. He digs and digs on everything. However, the worst thing he does is bark. I work at home and my mother lives with me. Every times she leaves the house, he barks constantly. We’ve tried crating, blocking the glass, putting him another room, spraying him with a water bottle. None of it works. We figure he has gone fully senile and have him on an itching pill and an anti-depressant, but it’s only worked slightly. A lot of it is understandable. We just moved to Florida from Nevada and his best friend, the dog we bought with him, the love of his life died two days after we got here. We take him to the dog park before we leave, I try to cuddle him when it’s going on. But I’m at the end of my tether. Does anybody have any ideas? I’m desperate.
