I have a stuffed lion toy slightly smaller than my male cats size and the last few weeks I’ve noticed it has taken a bit interest in it, I always see my cat playing with it, biting it on the neck and treating it like prey and when I carry the toy and swing it around the cat goes crazy trying to catch it and even meows, it makes a different type of meow sound than usual though idk how to describe it, it sounds like a soft, worried meow like what a mother cat would do, earlier I threw the toy for the cat to catch but the cat didn’t see where it landed and started meowing until it finally spotted it, what does this meowing mean? Does it think it’s another cat like itself ? Or just prey?
