I've been to the vet many times including today. I have tried sensitive food diets, hydrolyzed proteins, novel proteins etc,. I've also tried puzzle feeders and cookie sheets for the food and nothing works. My cat is too smart for these torture devices, but too stupid to slow down when eating her food. Within 5 minutes it comes back up.
My cat also has severe anxiety issues and is very timid. My vet said she has only seen a few cats as scared and stressed out all the time as mine.
The only thing that stops the vomiting for a while is cortisone shots but my vet said if those continues she is at risk for diabetes. And my cat will never take pill pockets or allow me to give her medication through a syringe or rubbing a cream into her ear.
I did try a wet canned food in the past but she still threw that up as well. I may try another canned food again and mix the kitty xanax my vet prescribed in there and see if she will take it.
