My adult cat is on a wet-dry diet and prefers it that way. She eats Acana Wild Prairie for dry food and we didn't have a problem with it but I like to switch to a food from Pro Plan/Royal Canin/Hill's (I was looking for something as an alternative even before the investigation news ftr)
The problem is she gave an allergic reaction to all grainy dry foods I have tried before Acana. I'm sure it's not chicken as she didn't have a problem with Acana and she eats boiled chicken as a treat sometimes and never had an issue. I recently tried Hill's Optimal Care 1-6 ages, allergic reaction again. To make things more difficult, she has early periodental disease she can't get treated for due to not being eligible for sedation yet and a lot of kibbles cause pain or wound in her mouth. Acana Wild Prairie is advertised as both for adult cats and kittens so maybe that's why she doesn't have a problem with it.
I already try to add a bit water to her dry food but that's not effective enough as she tends to wake up and eat a bit some nights.
Any suggestions? These brands' veterinary lines would also be fine.
