I live in SE Asia and there are 3 cats that live over next door and come by to my house sometimes (pretty frequently since I'm nice to them). These are the type of cats that have a house but don't really get affection or anything normal we'd imagine. They more or less just roam around and get a bit of rice and scraps at the end of the day. When I pet them they freak out! Anyway before I came out here I was a huge cat guy and even had to gift my cat away to family which was rough, so it's hard for me to see them like this! They say one cat is 19 years old, skin and bones and he's the most stubborn squawker you can imagine, then there's a 2-3 yo (not sure exactly) and one of her new kittens which is around 3 months old I think.
Is there a way to make some tasty-ish DIY food on the cheap? I can't afford a lot and would probably need something that can be made in big batches and keeps for a while. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! The more the better because I don't have access to most normal things (like a big bag of dry kibbel food).
